May Day march and rally

Starts at Clerkenwell Green, London, 11:00 onwards

Wednesday 1 May will see thousands of trade unionists march through London in celebration of unity and solidarity.

London's May day event has been unique in bringing together trade unionists, workers from the many international communities in London, pensioners, anti-globalisation organisations, students, political bodies and many others in a show of working class unity.

Thousands come together to march from Clerkenwell Green to a rally at Trafalgar Square.

The whole theme of May day remains unity and solidarity - across the city, across the country, across the world. Three constant calls have been made - trade union rights, human rights, international solidarity.
